Scottish actor Sir Sean Connery died Saturday morning at the age of 90, his family told the BBC.
He is best known for his portrayal of James Bond, being the first to bring the role onto the big screen and appearing in seven spy thrillers.
Queen Elizabeth II awarded Connery a knighthood in 2000 and he only celebrated his 90th birthday in August.
