A man died hours after the shooting in the Near North neighborhood of Minneapolis.
Just before midnight, officers responded to a 911 call to shoot and activate the ShotSpotter at 1700 from Emerson Avenue North, according to the Minneapolis Police Department.
Officers arrived and found a man in his twenties on the ground in critical condition and with gunshot wounds. Officers began CPR and were able to restore pulse before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital.
And the victim died. The medical examiner in Hennepin County will reveal their identity as well as the nature and cause of their death at a later date.
The suspects fled the scene before the officers arrived. Nobody is in custody.
Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the shooting.
