A Cincinnati motorcyclist was killed after a crash, Sgt. Said Stephen Wells of the Indiana State Police.
Sgt. Wells says that Daniel A. Cottingham, 58, was riding a 1986 Honda motorcycle heading east on State Route 252 near Heard Road when he crossed midfield and collided with a 2006 Chevrolet with a trailer.
Cottingham was wearing a helmet. He died at the scene, Sgt. Wells said. Chevrolet driver David K. Ivey, 51, of Hamilton, Ohio, was unhurt.
Toxicology tests are still pending at this time, although alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the accident, Sgt. Wells said.
The soldiers are still investigating.
