Metro Police said a 21-year-old man from Nashville was killed in a crash at noon on I-40.
The accident was reported around 2 p.m. Tuesdays in the eastern lanes of I-40 near the Broadway exit.
Police say the 21-year-old was driving a Ford Fusion when he lost control of the car at the bend before the Broadway exit. His car crossed more than three travel lanes and crashed into a rocky wall.
The driver died at the scene of the accident. His identity has not been revealed yet. Police say he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, and there is no evidence of his disability.
No other cars were involved in the accident.
