Houston Police are investigating following a fatal shooting in West Houston.
According to the authorities, they returned fire on the 4200 Block from South Kirkwood Road around 6:40 PM.
Initial reports indicated that two people were shot and taken to hospital. One of the victims was in critical condition, the other in a stable condition.
Houston homicide investigators said at the scene that one of the victims succumbed to his wounds.
Police did not disclose other details about the shooting.
