A woman is shot and her car is set on fire during an overnight shooting on a Memphis street.

According to an affidavit, the woman told police that she had left Qmart on Mendenhall Road and began to hear gunshots while driving north down the street.

Another person who was in the car with the woman told the police that a black vehicle with four men inside had stopped along the driver’s side of their car.

Two men began shooting at the car, according to the affidavit.

The victim was injured in the right leg.

She tried to enter Valero at the 5300 block of S. Mendenhall when she lost control of her vehicle.

According to the affidavit, the victim ran into the sidewalk and collided with a Valero sign in the parking lot.

Then the car caught fire.

According to the affidavit, everyone in the car got out of the car.

The victim saw a person at the gas station she recognized and got into the car that her friend was driving.

It was taken down at Fire Station 35 at S. Mendenhall.

According to the affidavit, she was transferred to Saint Francis in a non-critical condition.

An eyewitness told police that he was sitting on his back porch when he heard S. Mendenhall being shot.

He told police that he saw a black Dodge Challenger shoot a silver sedan.

There is no suspicious information available at this time.
