Four people were shot dead and one person was killed after the shooting at West Garfield Park in Chicago’s West Side.
Chicago Police reported that the shooting took place in 100 buildings on South Keeler Street shortly before 7 pm.
Police said the four victims were inside a car when they were hit by unknown fire. The victims then took the car to 500 blocks from South Pulaski Road where they rammed a Chicago Fire Department vehicle.
A 21-year-old man was injured in the back and forearm. It was moved to Mt. Officials at the Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A 17-year-old girl and a 19-year-old man were injured in the back and were taken to Struger Hospital in critical condition. A 34-year-old man was also beaten multiple times in the body and taken to Mt. Police said Sinai was in critical condition.
There were no reports of injuries from the occupants of the CFD, according to the officials.
There are no criminals in custody. Fourth District investigators are investigating.
