A man, police say, was driving sporadically on Roosevelt Boulevard after losing control of his car, crashing into a concrete barricade and then overturning in a ravine.
Authorities say the fatal accident happened around 10 pm. Near Fillmore Terrace. Eyewitnesses told police that the driver was entering and exiting traffic on the south side of Roosevelt Boulevard when he lost control of his car.
The 54-year-old reportedly crossed the midline of the outer lanes of Roosevelt Boulevard and hit a concrete bridge parapet. Then the car capsized and settled in a ravine.
And the driver of the car was declared dead at the scene. The police have not released his identity. No other injuries were reported.
