Police said three people were killed and seven others wounded in a separate six-hour shooting overnight in St. Louis.
Shortly after 11 p.m. the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that police had found an unknown man dead in the St. Louis neighborhood. Police described it as a murder.
Elsewhere, shortly after midnight, residents reported the shooting, and one of the victims later went to the hospital. Officers said it was probably a home assault.
At 1:30, a wounded victim was found in a shooting in another neighborhood.
Later, two men who arrived at the hospital said they were shot in the city center at around 2 a.m., one shot in the leg and the other in the back.
At 2:10 am, three other men were injured in gunfire. Around 4:45 a.m., a man was found dead. The police said they did not know his identity and that he was injured several times.
At around 5:15 a.m., another unidentified man was found with a gunshot wound in the stomach. He died in a local hospital.
Police released few details about the shooting.
