Rescue of a 13-year-old boy from a ravine in Ellie, Minnesota after being stabbed

 A 13-year-old boy is rescued from a canyon in Ellie, Minnesota after he was stabbed by another teenager.

The Ellie Police Department said that at 3:30 p.m., a trekker called 911 saying they had found someone who appeared to have fallen into a ravine in Lake Miners and injured his leg. The victim, a 13-year-old boy, was “conscious but confused.”

Police officers and medical personnel arrived at the scene. When they began treating the victim, they noticed that he was also stabbed. The victim told the police that he had been assaulted.

Police found the suspect, a 16-year-old boy, at his home and took him into custody.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and later airlifted to a hospital in Duluth. Police said his condition is unknown.

The suspect was held in the Arrowhead Juvenile Detention Center in Duluth. The case will be sent to the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office for review for the charges.
