A teenager died after an argument over a video game.
At around 4:35 PM, LVMPD Dispatch received a call from someone reporting the shooting of a teenager inside a condo near Building 7000 in Canary Ivy Way.
Officers arrived, locating the victim in a bedroom suffering from a gunshot wound. The medical staff announced the death of the victim at the scene of the accident.
Investigators say the victim was with the 14-year-old suspect at the home of a mutual friend when an argument over the video game they were playing ensued.
As the dispute escalated, the suspect took out a pistol, shot the victim and fled the scene. Officers were able to locate the suspect and take him into custody without incident.
The suspect was transferred to the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center and held in the Open Murder case.
The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and method of death, will be disclosed by the Clark County Mortuary Office.
