Oregon State Police confirmed that an 11-year-old boy was among three deaths in the Salem hostages case .
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect in the confrontation as Jose Jesus Lopez-Tenoco, 34, from Woodburn.
, The deputies arrived around 12:30 p.m. Lopez-Tenoco was found armed and detained people against their will. Although a trained hostage negotiator called, shots were fired from inside the house, and the MPs attempted a rescue.
Representatives found the bodies of Lopez Tinoco, an unidentified 11-year-old boy, and 24-year-old Diary Bustos Bustos, inside the house. It was reported that Lopez-Tenoco was apparently shot.
The deputies also discovered an unidentified 13-year-old boy who was unharmed and Laura Rossio Bustos, 43, who was shot and seriously injured.
Oregon State Police confirmed that a Representative launched a “yet to be determined” number of rounds during the bailout by forced entry, and Rep. Ricky Kittelson has been placed on administrative leave per administration protocol
