One person was killed and three others were hospitalized after an accident in Haltem.
It happened just before 8 a.m. at Loop 820 East near Haltom Road.
Police said a Ford F150 truck driver ran into a water bottle, lost control and veered to the left side of the road.
The truck collided with a brown Nissan Altima that was on the shoulder due to a puncture in the tire and took off in midair. Landed on a Ford Focus that was parked in front of a handicapped Nissan.
A woman died in the driver’s seat of Ford Focus at the scene. Police said two men who were helping her change a tire were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The truck driver was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Episode 820 was closed for about two hours on Friday morning while police were investigating the accident.
The victim’s name has not yet been revealed.
