A 16-year-old teenager is killed after an armed robbery turns into a shootout at a car wash in Roseville.
Police say the attempted robbery happened at the Wash Pointe Car Wash around 7 pm. After two suspects approached a 30-year-old man who was in his car.
When one of the suspects took out a pistol and tried to steal the man, a resident of Roseville, the victim took out his pistol and shot the suspects.
The shooting struck the young Detroit resident. He was later pronounced dead in hospital. Roseville Police say the second suspect fled the scene on foot and asked the public to help identify him.
The scene happened at 26015 Gratiot Ave.
The victim holds a license for a concealed pistol and was released from the officers after a preliminary investigation.
