One man was killed and three others were injured in an early morning crash in Minneapolis.
According to police, at around 3:42 am, authorities responded to a report of a serious crash at the intersection of East 26th Street and Cedar Avenue South.
When they arrived, officers found two vehicles severely damaged. Police said that one of the cars was traveling west on 26th Street and collided with a vehicle that was traveling south on Cedar Street. And wounded three people in one of the cars were not seriously injured. The driver of the other car, a man in his 50s, died at the scene.
Police believe drug or alcohol addiction was a factor in the accident, as well as speed and failure to comply with traffic laws.
Officers executed a blood sample warrant to detect the presence of drugs in the suspect, who was identified as a man in his 30s.
The accident is still under investigation.
