A four-year-old boy pointed a gun at his mother, seriously wounding her, in Florida,
Police investigators are seeking to find out how the child got to a gun, while noting that he shot his mother while she was driving a pickup truck.
Putnam County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Joseph Wells said Jamie Gilt, 31, owns the .45 caliber pistol that the child used.
Will added that a deputy sheriff stated that the child fired a bullet that hit his mother’s back and exited her stomach.
Leaving a pistol with bullets in the place where children can get is a misdemeanor under Florida law.
