Four people have been killed and at least 26 others injured in gun violence in Chicago so far this weekend.
Three people were killed, two in Austin on the West Side and one in the South Side Grand Crossing neighborhood. A person was killed on Friday evening in the Burnside neighborhood on the south side. They were all males between the ages of 17 and 42.
The figures do not include two fatal stabbing incidents for females this weekend. A 5-year-old girl was stabbed to death Saturday morning in East Garfield Park, according to police, who arrested a possible suspect. Early Sunday, a stabbed woman in her twenties was recovered from the northern branch of the Chicago River.
