A drive-by shooting in Oba Luka killed one man and seriously injured another.
Miami-Dade Police received a 911 call about a neighborhood shooting along Washington Street near Northwest 22nd Street, at around 10 p.m.
According to the police, eyewitnesses told them that gunmen in a blue car, possibly a Chevy car, stopped outside a house and started shooting, then shot two men.
One of the men died at the scene, while the other was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
Geoffrey Follmore said that his brother died in the wrong place at the wrong time, and that he was sad once he received a phone call to notify him of his death.
“You told me, you know, my brother was shot and died,” said Follmore. “My brother was on his way home from work and got into an altercation where he killed someone, I mean he was killed in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was a really good man, honestly I will miss him a lot. I just hope someone comes up and tells the officers what happened so we can Get the man who killed my brother. “
Police said two gunmen in a potential blue Chevy vehicle fled the scene.
