The body that was found in the burning trunk of the car was identified earlier this week through dental records. The victim is Jesus Manuel Tavares Soto, born on January 5, 1965. The burning car, black Nissan Sentra 2014, was registered to the victim.
A rider spotted the burning car at 6 AM 21, on the Skyway of the Pinellas Trail, near Twin Brooks Golf Course.
Also, Saint Petersburg Police Department and Gulfport Police Department are now working on this case as a joint investigation. The lane loop where the burning car was located within the jurisdiction of Gulfport.
