Authorities say a woman died in an accident that left four children and a man injured in northern Harris County.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident at the TC Junction. Jester Avenue. And Swords Creek Trail around 9:30 PM.
Representatives say the woman was driving a east-bound SUV on Swords Creek Road and failed to stop at a stop sign while trying to turn left on T. Clown. Meanwhile, authorities say a car was heading south on TC. Joker, and both cars crashed.
The woman who was driving the sports car died at the scene and four children who were in the car were taken to hospital.
The sheriff’s office says three boys – ages 6, 6, and 7 – were not properly restrained in the back seat and taken to hospital by Life Flight in critical condition.
Authorities say a 9-year-old girl in the front seat was wearing a seat belt and was taken to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
Two men were in the other car involved in the accident. The deputies say that the driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The passenger was not injured and remained at the scene of the accident. According to the sheriff’s office, the driver did not show signs of weakness.
Investigators reconstruct the accident to see if speed or insufficient lighting were a factor.
