A 56-year-old Hudson man was killed in a single car crash on a racetrack road, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.
The man was driving south on the racetrack north of Phillips Road in Pasco County around 7:50 PM. The soldiers said that when he exited from the western side of the road, he hit a sign and a large stone.
The man was taken to the hospital, where he died.
The soldiers did not reveal the man’s name because of their interpretation of the Marcy Act, a constitutional amendment passed by voters in 2018 that aims to protect crime victims, but it also deprives the public of information that has long been available in Florida.
