The Escambian County Council of County Commissioners, the Mayor of Pensacola and members of the local state delegation sent a letter to President Trump requesting individual assistance from the Federal Disaster Management Agency in the aftermath of Hurricane Sally.
President Trump announced Thursday a major disaster in Florida from Hurricane Sally, including the county of Escambia. It calls for all public assistance, including direct federal assistance, for emergency work and for repair or replacement of disaster-affected facilities.
However, individual assistance is still under review.
The county says that if your home or business has been damaged, email photos of the damage, along with your address or neighborhood and a brief description of the damage (200 words maximum), to: Hurricanesally@myescambia.com. Include your title or neighborhood in the subject line.
