Police found the body of an I-695 in Edgemere / Sparrows Point, while searching for a man who went missing from a car accident in that area.
The medical examination office determined that the victim’s injuries are consistent with a car accident, but officials have not identified the body at this point.
Maryland State Police today announced that the body was found shortly after 3 pm. Yesterday at North Point Boulevard and Inner Ring 695.
State Police and Ann Arundel County Police were searching for the missing person. The man had disappeared after a single car crash on the Beltway around 10 pm.
The initial investigation into the car accident showed that the vehicle veered off the road in the outer ring of I-695 in Cove Road and fell into a tree.
The body was found yesterday near the inner ring, on the other side of the highway.
State Police spokesman Greg Shipley said: “It appears that the person, if the missing man, has fled the scene.”
