First responders searched for hours on September 14 for a 30-year-old Bradenton man whose mother reported his disappearance from the Palma Sola community.
The Manatee County Sheriff’s office received a report at around 9 a.m. on September 14 from a woman who said her adult son was not at home when she woke up and a kayak was missing from her balcony in Bradenton.
The man’s mobile phone and wallet were found at the property.
The search included the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Service, and the United States Coast Guard.
The boat was found early September 14 in shallow waters in Palma Sula Bay, west of the residence of Catalina Drive.
The man is later found on the ground, near the Sunny Shores on Cortez Road, and appears confused.
