Maryland residents have exactly three weeks to register to vote in the general election.
People who choose to vote by mail will get their ballot papers soon if they haven’t already.
If you haven’t already registered, the deadline to register to vote in Maryland is October 13.
To celebrate National Voter Registration Day, there are several sites on Tuesday, including Lake Montebello, where you can get answers to your electoral questions, register to vote, and apply for the ballot by mail.
More than 870,000 people have requested to vote by mail for this election.
Local election boards could begin counting votes on October 1, with Maryland preparing to have some numbers to report.
Maryland‘s deputy director of elections said several sets of results will be announced on November 3.
In some states, voting is already taking place.
Starting next week, Maryland election leaders can start counting.
