A 24-year-old man died after being drawn from the water near Monroe Harbor.
Chicago police said two witnesses told investigators that he jumped into the water around 9:15 p.m. The man was rescued by the Chicago Police Marine Unit and the Chicago Fire Department.
Police said he was taken to Northwest Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has not disclosed details of his death.
District investigators are investigating first.
