A teenager died, and another young man, 18 and 12, was injured after a day of violence in Philadelphia.
The first accident occurred around eight in the evening. At 3100 complex of Mercer Street.
Investigators said they found a 16-year-old boy on the sidewalk with at least one bullet in the chest.
He was rushed to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead soon after, according to police.
“As the police found him lying half on the sidewalk and half in the parking lane, we did not find any ballistic evidence or expendable shell casings, so we are not sure whether the shooting took place there or not or maybe a pistol was used,” said Chief Inspector Scott Small of the administration Philadelphia Police “because we did not find any ballistic evidence at this time.”
Hours later, at around 10:30 p.m., police said an 18-year-old was shot in the arm at 4200 Block on North Penn Street. The teenager is listed in stable condition at the district hospital.
