Police say a 16-year-old boy and a man were killed in separate shootings in the city.
According to police, the teen was shot in the chest at 3100 Mercer Street around 8 p.m. In Port Richmond.
He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he later died.
Police say a 30-year-old was shot in the chest at Building 5000 on North Penn Street in Frankford.
He also succumbed to his wounds after being taken to hospital.
No one was arrested in the shooting.
As of midnight, the city’s homicide rate is up 35% compared to the same period last year.
