A woman died in a shooting on the western side of Indianapolis.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police, officers were dispatched to Block 3000 of Northern High School Road around 1:30 a.m.
Police found two people with gunshot wounds. A woman was declared dead at the scene, while a man was transferred to a hospital in the area in critical condition.
On Thursday evening, the coroner identified her as Wilma Hochstettler, 40.
IMPD said the shooting was still under investigation.
