Louisiana authorities said three brothers were accused of raping a 10-year-old girl after they stormed their way to the bathroom where she was hiding. One of them is still on the run.
Media reported that the brothers Raul and Wilmer Buzz Perez, both of whom are 35, were arrested on Saturday and charged with first-degree rape of a victim under the age of 13.
Kenner Police Lieutenant Michael Cunningham said authorities are looking for a third brother, Elder Buzz Perez, 31, on the same charges and additional rape charges related to a second victim.
Cunningham said the siblings were friends of the victim’s family.
Cunningham said that the brothers were alone with the girl on September 9 and began making sexual attempts towards her, and even offered her money.
Cunningham said the girl refused and locked herself in the bathroom, but they broke into and raped her.
A relative of the girl called the police on Saturday after learning of the rape.
Police said anyone with information about Sheikh Buzz Perez should contact the office.
It is not clear whether the brothers have a lawyer who can comment on their behalf.
