Metro police are searching for a suspect after a woman was killed and a man wounded in a shooting outside a hotel room in Brick Church Pike.
The officers responded around 11 p.m. To shoot at Super 8 off Interstate 65 near West Trinity Lane.
When the police arrived, they said they had found a male and female victims, both of whom had been shot. The two were killed outside a room on the second floor of the motel, according to the officers.
Metro Police reported that the woman was taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. The male victim was transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition.
Witnesses told Metro Police that they heard the shooting before they saw a speeding car.
Metro Police released a surveillance photo of the suspected shooter.
