Canton Police Department is investigating the fatal shooting of a 6-year-old boy.
Police say the suspect is 11 years old.
According to the police, the officers responded to the shooting call shortly before 8 p.m. In the 500 block from 19 NW Street.
The victim was transported by private vehicle to the hospital, where he died.
The child has not been recognized.
Canton police say officers at the scene contacted an 11-year-old who had been taken into custody.
He faces reckless murder charges.
It has also not been recognized.
Canton Police are trying to find out how the kid used the rifle in the fatal shooting.
