A man dies after a local dispute in Putnam County, the shooter cooperates

Pensacola, Fl

A 39-year-old man was shot dead early during a local accident in Putnam County, according to the Putnam County Police Office.

Representatives said Timothy Anderson was shot dead by a 59-year-old relative. The relative, whose identity has not been revealed by the representatives, was transferred to a hospital in the region with non-life-threatening injuries and did not face any charges, according to the sheriff’s office.

Representatives responded early around 6 am to a 911 call stating that a man had been shot during a local dispute at 115 Bangor Ave. In East Palatka.

When they arrived, they find Anderson dead.

The sheriff’s office said the lawmakers ’last reaction to the house was due to domestic disturbances. No arrests were made at that time.

Investigators said they are trying to determine whether the fatal shooting was a justified killing.

Records show Anderson was a registered sex offender convicted in 2008 of child molestation in Bradford County.

According to the Florida Department of Corrections, Anderson was sentenced to three years in prison for illegal weapon possession, one year in prison for robbery and one year behind bars for child molestation.
