3 Air National Guard members were killed in a plane crash in Warren County

 Three people have died in a small plane crash outside Warren County Memorial Airport, according to Warren County Sheriff.

The sheriff identified the three as military members of the Tennessee Air National Guard.

The victims are Lieutenant Colonel Shelley Don Heather, 37, Captain Jessica Naomi Wright, and Sergeant 53 years. Scott Alan Pompus.

The three were in the plane that took off from the airport runways when it immediately crashed into a farmer’s field. News 2 confirmed it is a single-engine Piper PA-28 and part of the Lebanese Aviation Club.

The National Transportation Safety Board is leading the investigation into the cause of the accident. They are taking the plane to a safe place for investigation. The initial report should be available within weeks.
