Riverside County Police Department said seven people were found with gunshot wounds in an apparently illegal marijuana operation in an unincorporated area of Aguanga early on, and all seven shooting victims died.
The police department said in a statement that a woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she died, while the other six died at the scene of the accident, which was at the 45,000 complex of Highway 371. The deputies had responded to a report of a lethal weapon attack when they found the seven victims who had shot.
The administration stated that “evidence at the scene indicates that the site was used to manufacture and harvest an illegal process of marijuana.”
There were more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana and several hundreds of marijuana plants at the scene, the statement added.
The search did not result in any suspects or suspects, as investigators said that the killings appeared to be an isolated incident and that there was no immediate threat to the general public.
