1 dead and 3 wounded in crossfire in the Park of Stony Island

 A man was shot dead and three others were injured during a shootout at Stony Island Park on the South Side.

Chicago police said two men aged 21 and 30 were traveling north in a red Nissan Altima at Complex 8400 on South Krieger Street when two 18-year-old men fired shots.

Police said a man in the back seat of a Nissan returned fire, wounding both gunmen.

Police said the injured in a Nissan vehicle were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center. The 21-year-old was shot in the neck and declared dead, the older man in good condition was listed with a bullet in the groin.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has not disclosed details of the death.

Police said one of the men who shot the car was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the thigh. The other alleged 18-year-old gunman was transported to Trinity Hospital in good condition with a bullet to the forearm.

Police said that investigators questioned the two 18-year-olds. The guy who returned the footage has a valid hidden carry license.
