Las Vegas police shot and killed a man attacking a woman in a western valley.
Las Vegas City Police said at around 9 pm. On September 6, they were called to 10,300 blocks of Timber Willow Avenue, near Sahara Avenue and Hualapai Way.
According to Captain Nicole Splinter, the police have been called home for a house dispute. When they arrived, they said they had heard a woman screaming inside.
Through a net door, the police said that they saw a man “wounding” the woman with a knife. An officer shot the man once, ending the attack.
Splinter said the suspect was declared dead at the scene and the woman was transferred to the University Medical Center where she was listed as stable. There was a child in the house too at the time.
None of the officers were injured in the shooting.
This was the fourteenth shooting that a Metro officer fired his weapon in 2020.
