One person was shot dead and another wounded in Nashville.
According to Metro Police, officers responded to Mori Street and Cannon Street shortly after midnight. They found two gunshot victims on the street near a gray Dodge Charger.
Police said 43-year-old Zedric Douglas and another man had been taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Douglas succumbed to his wounds. The officers stated that the other victim was still in critical condition.
Police said the car was owned by Douglas. When the officers arrived, the engine was running and the lights were flashing.
A pistol was found near the driver’s side of the vehicle.
The investigation remains open and active.
