The Nashville Metro Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting incident in Edgehill.
It happened at 1100 block of Horton Street in the community of Edghel around 2:30 a.m. Police found a man shot dead in the parking lot with a bullet. Police identified the victim as Tony Terrell Bonds. They said that someone shot him in the head and ran him over before leaving the area in a white sedan, it might have been a Ford Fusion.
Midtown Hills Precinct investigators are working to locate a suspect and locate the vehicle.
The suspect is described as a black man in his late teens or early twenties. He wore a white shirt and blue jeans. Police said at this time, Bonds apparently did not know his killer.
An investigation revealed that Bonds and a friend were walking toward an apartment block when the suspect apparently started a random confrontation with Bond. Bonds was then shot after that melee.
The shooter got into the white car, reversed out of the parking lot and ran over Bonds. A woman standing outside with the suspect left in a black pick-up truck.
