Officials said four people were found dead after a house fire in North Philadelphia.
The fire broke out just before 8 a.m. on 3300 Streets of Cape Street.
Firefighters reported arriving at the scene to find flames fanning out from the first floor of the house with reports of people trapped.
Neighbors told Action News that they heard someone screaming about a fire and then called 911.
While awaiting coroner’s confirmation, there appear to be four deaths, said Adam Thiel, the Philadelphia fire department.
According to officials, a 35-year-old woman was found in the basement and her three children, aged 17, 11 and 9, were found upstairs.
The fire chief is investigating. There is no information as to what may have caused the fire at this time.
