A teenage girl was shot and wounded on Saturday while traveling in a car in the Near West Side.
Chicago Police said the 16-year-old was traveling in a car around 2:45 am at Block 200 of South Ashland Street when she heard gunfire and felt pain. She and the other people in the car told the police that they had not seen the shooter and did not know where the shots came from.
Police said the girl was injured in the face and taken to Struger Hospital in a reasonable condition.
No one is in custody as District three investigators are investigating.
