Two 18-year-old St. Louis residents were killed and a third teenager was wounded after a shooting on the north side of town.
Police have identified the two victims as Terrell Djuan Scott Jr. and Girlia Mooney Dennis. The patient is 16 years old. No arrests were made.
Officers received a call Thursday evening about a shooting and found the victims in a car. Scott’s death was announced at the scene and Dennis later died in hospital. The 16-year-old was injured in the leg and taken to hospital in stable condition.
Hours later, just before 4 a.m. on Friday, officers found another victim who had been shot in a car. His name has not been released, and no arrests have been made for this crime.
St. Louis has seen a spike in gun violence this summer. The city has recorded 183 murders so far in 2020, compared to 194 homicides in the whole of 2019.
