One person was killed in a gun crash on Bishop Ford Highway in the far south.
The car was heading south at about 2:45 a.m. in the central lane of I-94 when it veered off the road to the right and crashed into the upper bridge of 130th Street, according to a statement from the Illinois State Police.
State Police said they capsized several times and caught fire. The death of the driver was announced at the scene of the accident.
State police said all southbound lanes were closed for investigation after the accident, but reopened by 5:30 a.m.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
