The crew has been called in to light a large fire at a vacant hotel in North Nashville.
The fire started around 6:15 a.m. at the empty Ravin Motel on Brick Church Pike off Interstate 65.
Kendra Looney, a spokeswoman for the Nashville Fire Department, said paramedic crews were at the nearby Days Inn when a woman approached them and said she was sleeping inside the hotel and someone woke her up by pouring gas around her.
She was taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
Two aerial trucks have been called to the scene to help extinguish the fire. No firefighters were injured.
Smoke from the fire was visible for miles bound for Nashville from I-65.
The hotel closed its doors in 2018.
