A 50-year-old man from Pensacola died after a hit and run accident on Palafox Street. The authorities are now trying to locate the responsible driver.
Florida Highway Patrol says the accident happened at 11:15 PM. On Palafox Street north of Johnson Street.
Victim Patrick Del Taber was riding a bike.
According to the FHP, a dark-colored vehicle was traveling north on Palafox Street when it collided with the stern of the Taber, which was heading north on Palafox Street on a bike.
The car ran away from the scene the last time it was driving north down Palafox Street.
Tapper’s death was announced at the scene.
“The car was said to have been dark in color, possibly a Chevrolet Cruze,” says FHP. “The car has damage to the front and the passenger side, possibly including the windshield. The car also lacks a passenger side mirror.”
