A woman was beaten and killed by a hit-and-run driver in the Cobbs Creek section of the city. It happened at Cobbs Creek Parkway near Catherine Street around 8:15 PM.
Police say the 25-year-old was crossing when she was hit by a vehicle traveling north. She landed in the lanes heading south, where she was hit by a second car. The second driver remained at the scene.
There is no word in describing the first vehicle.
