Police said a 14-year-old girl was shot dead.
A family member at the scene identified himself as the husband of the victim’s friend.
According to the stepfather, he said, the 15-year-old girl’s mother was there as well.
He said the 15-year-old was playing with the rifle and shot his 14-year-old girlfriend by accident.
Homicide investigators are questioning family members and the 15-year-old.
Homicide investigators will decide whether it was accidental or intentional.
