The Cecil County Police Office said a Georgia man was killed in an Elkton shooting early.
The shooting occurred around 1:45 a.m. near West Creek Shoppes on South Chestnut Drive. When the deputies arrived, they found evidence of several gunshots but no casualties.
Meanwhile, Elkton Police officers responded to Union Hospital as a person arrived in a private vehicle with multiple gunshots. They learned that the man had been shot near the stores.
The victim, 29-year-old Shane Andrew Cisco, was taken to a hospital in Newark, Delaware, due to the severity of his injury. The mayor’s office said he died shortly after his arrival.
Cisco is believed to have ties to Cecil and Kent counties, Maryland
