Police said a man was shot dead in a smoke shop in Providence, the fourth murder in the city in less than two weeks.
Major David Lapatin said that the shooting occurred around 2:45 am at the workplace at the intersection of Branch Avenue and Fizzie Street.
The man was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim’s name has not been disclosed, and no arrests have been announced.
No additional information has been released.
There have been nine murders so far in Providence this year.
