A man was killed in a collision early this morning in southeast Bakersfield.
The Bakersfield Police Department said that at around 5:01 am, officers responded to the Hosking Street and Monitor Street intersection after receiving reports of a major injury in the area. When the officers arrived, they found a seriously wounded man.
The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment, where he later died of his wounds, according to the BBC. The driver of the other vehicle was not seriously injured.
The ministry said that an investigation into the accident is still ongoing. This is the twenty-fifth fatal collision this year in Bakersfield.
